Another 40 Days for Life prayer vigil at Planned Parenthood

The man drove a junker.
I was standing outside of a Planned Parenthood human abortion clinic here in Des Moines. I was praying the Rosary with friends, prayers on behalf of the preborn, their moms and dads, and even the workers in the human abortion factories, when I heard his car.
We were praying for an end to human abortion as part of a national movement called “40 Days for Life.”
A man drove up in a junker. He got out of his car and walked toward me. Keep in mind, we always see a few guys drive by with their middle fingers thrust toward us in acknowledgement that the pro life movement is #1!
At least, that’s my take.
IMG_6106To be fair, that is more than offset by the dozens of people who honk and give us a thumbs up gesture.
Anyway, this guy is walking toward me. He hands me a twenty dollar bill, simply says thanks, and leaves.
Something like this happens every time we’re praying in front of Planned Parenthood. Strangers bring us donuts, hot chocolate, and give us money (even though we’re not out there soliciting). The money goes toward sending students to the March for Life in Washington D.C. in January.
Human abortion clinics are being smothered by prayers during 40 Days for Life. Human abortion advocates describe what we’re dong as protesting. They are wrong. We are praying. The Holy Spirit is doing all the work. Why do you think Planned Parenthood keeps closing clinics?
It’s simple, prayer works.
