The profane, the violent, and the demagogues

By Tom Quiner

Liberals roared their displeasure on Twitter with typical indelicacy.
They were reacting to the Supreme Court smack down of the HHS Mandate imposed on closely held companies, such as Hobby Lobby. The Green family that owns Hobby Lobby said the mandate forced them to violate their religious conscience or be fined.
The Supreme Court agreed with the Greens.
Here are a few (heavily edited) comments on Twitter in reaction:

“Let’s go burn down a Hobby Lobby.”
“Our Supreme Court is a f**king joke. F**k you Hobby Lobby and anyone who supports that evil company. Burn it to the f***king ground.”
“Dare of the day: burn down the nearest Hobby Lobby & Chick-fil-A.”
“F**k you Hobby Lobby. I hope all your stores burn to the ground. F**k you, f**k you, F**K YOU!!!!!!”
“ah wtf they did, literally burn hobby lobby to the ground”
“burn the hobby lobby down, I say.”

I’m disturbed that so many people are so comfortable calling for violence. The string of profanities doesn’t help. Why, if conservatives said such things, liberals would label it as “hate speech” and throw them in jail.
A Board member for the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL), Jessica Valenti, demonstrated the intelligence level of her organization with this zinger:

“Maybe women should organize a safe-sex f**k-in at every Hobby Lobby across the country. In the glitter aisle. Just a thought.”

Hillary Clinton weighed in, thankfully without the profanity, about how disturbed she was by the decision:

“Part of the reason I was so adamant about including women and girls [in State Department efforts] is that they’re often the canaries in the mine. It is a disturbing trend that you see in a lot of societies that are unstable, anti-democratic, and prone to extremism. Women’s bodies are used as the defining and unifying issue to bring together people—men—to get them to behave in ways that are disadvantageous to women but prop up rulers.”

On a roll, she sees these sinister things at work in this decision:

“Many more companies will claim religious beliefs. Some will be some sincere, others maybe not. We’re going to see this one insurable service cut out for many women. This is a really bad, slippery slope.”

Huh?
For the record, Hobby Lobby provides sixteen forms of contraception in their coverage:
1. Male condoms
2. Female condoms
3. Diaphragms with spermicide
4. Sponges with spermicide
5. Cervical caps with spermicide
6. Spermicide alone
7. Birth-control pills with estrogen and progestin (“Combined Pill)
8. Birth-control pills with progestin alone (“The Mini Pill)
9. Birth control pills (extended/continuous use)
10. Contraceptive patches
11. Contraceptive rings
12. Progestin injections
13. Implantable rods
14. Vasectomies
15. Female sterilization surgeries
16. Female sterilization implants
They refuse to provide abortifacients which kill a person.
So, all of this wailing and gnashing of teeth and all of these “f” words are wasted. There is no need for liberal women to fornicate on the floors of Hobby Lobby. There is no need for angry liberals to burn down these wholesome stores which pay their employees a decent wage AND provide 16 forms of contraception.
The uninformed liberal masses need to stop listening to liberal demagogues like Ms. Clinton and NARAL, who consistently violate the Eighth Commandment by bearing false witness against Hobby Lobby, the Supreme Court, Republicans, and conservative men in general, by claiming they want to take their birth control pills away from them.
A bigger risk to the liberal mob is the World Health Organization who have labeled the Pill a class-1 carcinogen.
