Black lives don’t matter
By Tom Quiner
Quiner’s Diner reader, Dr. Steve Kirby, wrote the following response to a Des Moines Register/USA Today article:
“March 8th brought an interesting combination of articles in the Register. In the USA Today section there was an article about the start of the “Black Lives Matter” movement, focusing on perceived racism in the killing of some blacks. In the main section, Jason Noble fact-checked a claim that there had been about 53 million abortions in the United States from 1973 through 2011. Noble said it was accurate based on information from the Guttmacher Institute.
This combination of articles is interesting because the Guttmacher Institute reported that black women accounted for 30% of those abortions. In comparison, the US Census reported that in 2011 blacks as a whole accounted for only about 13% of the US population.
From 1973 through 2011, nearly 53 million legal abortions occurred. 30% of 53 million means that almost 16 million black babies were aborted during those 39 years. This means an average of almost 408,000 black babies were aborted each year. In comparison, the US Census reported the 2011 estimated deaths among blacks for the year to be only 291,406.
It appears that when it comes to the abortion industry, black lives don’t matter.”
Thanks, Dr. Kirby, for pointing out this tragedy that occurs because liberalism allows it to occur.
Margaret Sanger would be so proud. “Keeping the dusky races down”…(her words not mine)…Planned Parenthood intentionally targeted black neighborhoods early on. Sanger’s idea was to get the black ministers on their side early so they could fool the black people into what their intentions were; basically, population control of “undesirables”, like African-Americans.
And to think: Planned Parenthood still calls their highest annual award the “Margaret Sanger Award”.
What a sickening honor. Thanks for pointing this out, Shawn.
