When Susan Rice goes on television, you know the truth is about to take a beating

By Tom Quiner

A lyin’, stinkin’ American was responsible for the death of our Ambassador and three other Americans in Benghazi.

That’s what Susan Rice told us. Some guy made an anti-Muslim movie and mayhem broke out throughout the Middle East.

She went on all the Sunday talking heads shows spinning this tale.

Of course, this was all exposed as a falsehood.

The film had nothing to do with it.

Zilch.

Nada.

Zero percent.

Next, Ms. Rice was called on to tell us that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl served his country with “honor and distinction.”

You recall Sgt. Bergdahl. He’s the guy for whom the president traded a slew of murderous terrorists to obtain Bergdahl’s release, with great fanfare, I might add.

Whoops … Bergdahl’s fellow soldiers insist that he was a deserter, that he did not serve his country with “honor and distinction.”

Guess what? Turns out the Army is going to charge him with desertion.

So Ms. Rice’s story again was a sham. For the record, the Army conducted an investigation into the whole affair, but ‘mysteriously’ refused to release the findings until after the midterm elections.

Hmmm.

Ms. Rice went back on television in October with a new pronouncement on the latest Obama-induced crisis, ISIS’ systematic and accelerating occupation of Iraq. Here is what Ms. Rice said:

“They have said that their facilities inside of Turkey can be used by the coalition forces, American and otherwise, to engage in activities inside of Iraq and Syria. That’s a new commitment, and one that we very much welcome.”

This would be huge. The Kurds are our friends. The Turks don’t like them. But if Turkey let us use their base near the Kurd’s border, it would be a huge break for us in supporting the Kurds in their fight against the murderous, rampaging, cutthroat Islamic terrorists known as ISIS.

[I know it is more politically-correct to label ISIS as Religion of Peace Warriors or Workplace Violence Afflicters, but liberals can use whatever term they want on their own blogs.]

Nonetheless, Ms. Rice again was caught in a, shall we say, misstatement.

Turkey officials immediately denied the deal:

“NATO allies Turkey and the United States differed Monday on where they stand on the use of a key air base, with Turkish officials denying reports from the United States that there was a new agreement on its use for operations against Islamic State militants.”

Her latest foray into disingenuousness came on Charlie Rose’s show, where she proclaimed that John Boehner was being ‘partisan’ when he invited the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netenyahu, to speak before Congress. As columnist Star Parker put it,

“[that’s] like saying that accepting an invitation from the president for a meeting in the White House is partisan because Barack Obama is a Democrat.”

So how can you tell when Susan Rice is lying?

… right, Tom, when she’s on the television. She’s teaching the next generation that, indeed, modern society does not insist on accountability for lying. I’m sorry, I meant for “misspeaking.”

You can tell when she is lying, when she opens her mouth. I guess she believes what she says.

I am convinced that the current administration is just arrogant/delusional enough to believe that when that say words, those words becomes truth. Sadly, the press is too enamored and cowardly to call the madness what it is.

It seems that way to me, too. Thanks for writing.
