Mr. and Mrs. Taxpayer, you are paying $1708 per abortion

You are paying Planned Parenthood $1708 for every single abortion they perform.
Whether you love Planned Parenthood or hate them, you, Mr. or Mrs. Taxpayer, are directly paying for human abortion at the hands of the profiteers at America’s biggest abortion provider.
Here is how I arrived at the numbers:
• # of abortions performed by Planned Parenthood in fiscal year 2014-2015: 323,999.
• Tax dollars received from the Federal Government in fiscal year 2014-2015: $553.7 million.
• $553,700,000 ÷ 323,999 = $1708.95 per human abortion.
We’re being taken for suckers.
A so-called “medication” abortion costs somewhere between $300 and $800. Or an aspiration abortion, where PP abortion technicians suck fetal body parts out of the cervix, run somewhere between $300 to $950.
We’re paying double, triple, even six times that amount to kill a human being (in the eyes of many). If you’re a Donald Trump supporter, you might say that we’ve made a ‘bad deal’ by paying so much.
On the other hand, another candidate, Hillary Clinton, not only supports taxpayer monies, she practically considers ill words spoken against PP as hate speech:
“I will always defend Planned Parenthood and I will say consistently and proudly, Planned Parenthood should be funded, supported and protected, not undermined, misrepresented and demonized.”
Planned Parenthood apologists will quickly exclaim that tax dollars are not going for human abortions, but rather for women’s reproductive health, such as mammograms.
There is a problem with this claim: it is false. As of 2012, Planned Parenthood does not provide mammograms anywhere, according to President Obama’s U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Other’s will intone that taxpayers aren’t used for human abortion procedures, but for other stuff, like pap smears and pregnancy testing. How do they know? After all, money is “fungible.” In other words, money given for one purpose can be used for another.
Who says that taxpayer cash goes into a “non abortion pot?”
I can just as easily say that my dollars are being used to kill the pre born to the tune of $1708 per victim.
I do say it, and I’m repulsed and ashamed of my country for allowing it.

This is at least a bit disingenuous, Tom. Supposedly, the money that goes to PP from taxpayers goes into different programs for PP, and may help prevent unwanted pregnancies, rather than end unwanted pregnancy. Trust me, I am not here to defend PP. Far from it. They deserve NO tax dollars in my opinion. But not because tax dollars are “funding abortion”. According to the Hyde Amendment (IIRC) no tax dollars may be used to fund abortion. So those tax dollars go for other things. And many or most of those abortions are paid for by the people who are getting them or by their insurance companies.
Money is fungible. Planned Parenthood has a history of lying. It is disingenuous, Shawn, to think that public monies are NOT being used for abortion-related services, Hyde Amendment or not. Even more, Hillary is calling for the repeal of the Hyde Amendment.
