The Party of Gosnell

By Tom Quiner

The House of Representatives passed a bill that says you can’t kill an innocent human being if it hurts.

The bill was supported by all Republicans, but six.

The bill was opposed by all Democrats, but six.

Scientists claim a baby feels pain at 20 weeks in the womb. Republicans crafted this fetal pain bill in the name of compassion. We’ve seen in the recent trial of human abortionist, Dr. Kermit Gosnell, that a baby’s body parts are pulled apart to complete a human abortion.

It hurts like hell.

Scientists tell us the nerve endings are developed enough at 20 weeks for the boy or girl to feel pain when the human abortionist does his job.

Harry Reid won’t let the bill, called The “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act”, come up for a vote in the Senate.

President Obama flatly states he’ll veto the bill if it should pass.

I don’t understand why Democrats oppose the bill. They support legislation that prevents us from hurting the Indian bat, the Iowa Pleistocene Land Snail, the Piping Plover, and other endangered species.

Here in Iowa, there’s a big outcry over the lousy conditions chickens face in their chicken coops. It seems that PETA and other liberal pressure groups demand more humane conditions for chickens.

So if Democrats and their people care so much about rodents and fowl, why such callousness toward the preborn?

Just a few weeks ago, Democratic supporters who advocate for human abortion loudly proclaimed that Dr. Gosnell’s House of Horrors was an aberration. They decried what the man did to his little victims, some of whom were dismembered and brutalized in the womb, some out.

The compassion of the human abortion crowd was short-lived. Ilyse G. Hogue,President of NARAL, Pro-Choice America, intoned:

“Against all logic and without any compassion or regard for women, this dangerous bill is now headed to the U.S. Senate.”

What about compassion to the first victim, the dismembered, you know, the one that has her body torn apart without the benefit of anathesia? Doesn’t she deserve some consideration?

Representative Barbara Lee of California tried to characterize the Republican vote as racist:

“The bill is a direct threat to the privacy rights and health of every woman living in this country, and especially women of color.”

Women of color?

I think Ms. Lee is speaking with forked tongue. After all, 53% of black babies are aborted.

After all, Planned Parenthood has most of their clinics located in inner cities with high concentration of African-Americans, because they are making so much money performing human abortion on black babies.

After all, the African-American replacement birth rate is well below replacement level due to all of the human abortions being performed by the Kermit Gosnell’s of the world.

Women of color are dying off one human abortion at a time at the hands of Big Abortion.

What is racist is black genocide. The Democratic Party has a hand in this holocaust with their unstinting support of human abortion.

One of the most visible leaders in the pro life movement, Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life, spoke critically of President Obama’s threat of a veto of the Fetal Pain bill, characterizing his view as “barbaric:”

“The President’s views on abortion are extreme, dangerous to women as well as to their children, antithetical to the principles on which our nation was founded, and simply barbaric. Nobody with his views on such a fundamental issue belongs in public office.”

Fr. Pavone was particularly critical of Democrat Nancy Pelosi in an open letter to her:

“You make a mockery of the Catholic faith. [You] reveal a profound failure to understand your own political responsibilities. Either exercise your duties as a public servant and a Catholic, or have the honesty to formally renounce them.”

I would like to go a step further. It is time for Democrats to be honest with the American people. They are the Party of Gosnell. The atrocities of the House of Horrors happened because they have blocked any regulation on human abortion.

If the Fetal Pain bill fails, as it probably will, it is because of the Party of Gosnell.

Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood on the premise of eradicating the black race!

Yes, she made many horribly racist statements. Now Planned Parenthood has put Ms. Sanger’s vision into action. Thanks for writing.
