Why no outrage over Planned Parenthood actions?

By quinersdiner | June 27, 2013

Iowans are sick of sexual predators hurting our children. If this additional review leads to more questions about why an incest or rape case was not reported to the police, that can only be good for the women of Iowa.

Steve Deace comments on so-called gay marriage

By quinersdiner | June 26, 2013

People can be wrong on taxes or immigration and it doesn’t risk their eternal soul. But if you miss this one, it’s like tying the millstone around your own neck.

Reactions to the Supreme Court’s (so-called) gay marriage decision

By quinersdiner | June 26, 2013

“Some will rejoice in today’s decision, and some will despair at it; that is the nature of a controversy that matters so much to so many. But the Court has cheated both sides, robbing the winners of an honest victory, and the losers of the peace that comes from a fair defeat. We owed both of them better. I dissent.” — Justice Anthony Scalia

Descent into mediocrity

By quinersdiner | June 26, 2013

America has changed dramatically in the past 60 months. Depending on your perspective, the Obama Government deserves some of the blame … or credit. A new study reveals that 3 out of 4 Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Their savings are gone. The Obama economy has laid them low.

Doctors and Nurses Submit Petition to Iowa Board of Medicine: End Webcam Abortions!

By quinersdiner | June 25, 2013

“In 2008, webcam abortions began as a ‘first-in-the-nation test pilot program’ here in Iowa at Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, the largest abortion provider in our state,” stated Jenifer Bowen, Executive Director of Iowa Right to Life. “Yet, the truth remains-these chemical abortions are more painful, traumatizing and bloody for women, but far more profitable for Planned Parenthood.”

Join the Fortnight for Freedom. Support religious liberty.

By quinersdiner | June 25, 2013

This is the second annual Fortnight called by the U.S. Catholic Bishops. It was precipitated by the Obama Government’s HHS Mandate, which kicks in on August 1st. What is the president saying with his Mandate? Here is what he is saying: human life is a disease. It must be contained. It is not the fruit of loving relationships. It is the hindrance to your fulfillment, not the source of your fulfillment. Even more, the president is saying that willful infertility is healthy.

The neo-liberal Economist Magazine bales on global warming

By quinersdiner | June 24, 2013

“GLOBAL warming has slowed.” This is the lead sentence in The Economist’s new essay on global warming/ climate change. The magazine has generally supported the conviction that global warming exists, that it is caused by man, and that we should do something about it. Nonetheless, they acknowledge in their June 20th essay that the data is not being cooperative …

“Bush saved 9 million lives” says this celebrity

By quinersdiner | June 24, 2013

U2 lead singer, Bono, lays it on the line: George W. Bush saved 9 million people from AIDS. News like this needs to be trumpeted in light of the multi billion dollar negative PR campaign leveled against Mr. Bush by the Left and their liberal lapdogs in the MSM. The Left went after President Bush during is presidency with a vengeance at the same time they give Barack Obama a free pass for continuing the same policies they so reviled.

A national sin

By quinersdiner | June 24, 2013

Congresswoman, Virginia Foxx (NC) gives an impassioned speech on behalf of our preborn brothers and sisters. She characterizes human abortion as “a national sin.” In 1973, some 45 states restricted or banned abortion. As Rep. Foxx puts it, an unelected court threw out these laws which protected the fundamental right-to-life as embraced by our Founders and this great nation for nearly 200 years. The gravity of this national sin brought Ms. Foxx to tears …

The universe looks suspiciously like a “fix”

By quinersdiner | June 21, 2013

It seems we need to embrace three disciplines to understand reality. They are science, religion, and philosophy. We live in an era that leans on science alone to explain reality. And yet increasing numbers of scientists are being drawn to the notion of an Intelligent Designer (which sounds suspiciously like religion and philosophy) due to the exquisite design of the universe …
