How Abe Lincoln called his opponent a liar in a debate
[Name of candidate] is lying!
There is something so unseemly about calling someone a liar.
I’m never sure if it helps the person using this pejorative. We have heard the slur hurled by a number of Republican candidates at a number of their opponents this election cycle…
What do we tolerate?
“What one generation tolerates, the next generation will embrace.” –John Wesley
Trump’s answers reveal his vacuousness
The wisdom of Donald Trump: “You know, our professors, our teachers, we have to take care of them. It’s very important, I mean, to me it’s so important. But, you look at how the costs have escalated for colleges, and all they’re doing is, the students, essentially, are giving them the money, and yet, you’re borrowing too much money. I’m gonna look into that very strongly and we have to do something to help the students.”
Abortion is more than homicide, it is suicide
PELLEGRINO: Padre Pio, today you denied absolution to a woman because she had voluntarily undergone an abortion. Why have you been so rigorous with this poor unfortunate?
PIO: The day that people lose their horror for abortion, will be the most terrible day for humanity. Abortion is not only a homicide but also a suicide. Shouldn’t we have the courage to manifest our faith before those who commit two crimes within one act?
PELLEGRINO: Suicide?
PIO: The suicide of the human race will be understood by those who will see the earth populated by the elderly and depopulated of children: burnt as a desert.
Provocative quote from an anti-feminist feminist
“Leaving sex to the feminists is like letting your dog vacation at the taxidermist.”
“The playground of white, upper-middle-class professionals with elite-school degrees and me-first values”
“…liberal poseurs mouth racial and ethnic platitudes, acquired like trophy kills at their p.c. campuses, but every word rings hollow, because it is based on condescension, a patronizing projection of victimhood onto those outside their privileged circle. There is no better example of this arrogant class bias than Wellesley grad Hillary Clinton lapsing into her mush-mouthed, Southern-fried dialect when addressing African-American audiences.”
