The world noticed us yesterday

By Tom Quiner | March 18, 2012

I changed the world yesterday. I simply prayed in front of Planned Parenthood for God to save lives, to change hearts. I’ve done this now many times, but the number of people joining us is increasing. In the two hours I was there, I’d guess a few thousand people saw us. This Planned Parenthood clinic is on a busy street, and the traffic is heavy. Cars were honking all morning long as they drove by as a simple way to show support. It was encouraging …

Does life have meaning?

By Tom Quiner | March 17, 2012

By Tom Quiner I will be leaving shortly to pray in front of Planned Parenthood on behalf of the unborn. As I eat my breakfast, I’m asking myself the question: why am I doing this? It comes down to this. Life has meaning. Humanity is unique. It is precious. Those who view human life as being disposable through the act of abortion diminish the meaning of our existence. Their view,…

Why did Planned Parenthood close another clinic?

By Tom Quiner | March 16, 2012

Something big is happening right now. It goes by two names: 40 Days for Life … or … 40 Days of Hell. The name depends on your perspective. Tomorrow, I will be praying in front of Planned Parenthood on Army Post Road from 10AM til noon. For my Des Moines readers, please join us. We don’t protest in front of Planned Parenthood. We pray.
We don’t shout. We won’t do our bathroom work on their sidewalk. And we won’t take our clothes off. That’s another movement that does that kind of stuff …

Who are the oppressors?

By Tom Quiner | March 16, 2012

By Tom Quiner Step back with me. Let us look at the big picture. These are strange times. The Left thinks we are nuts. We on the Right think they are nuts. A personal story: A fellow parishioner from my church put up a post on her Facebook page with a link to an article where Mitt Romney said, as president, he would try to get rid of Planned Parenthood.…

What do Peyton Manning and Barack Obama have in common?

By Tom Quiner | March 16, 2012

Happy Friday! Humor is good for your health. Conservative humor is good for your soul. Sit back, relax, and be prepared for 148 seconds of fun! You’re going to love the first story: “What do Peyton Manning and Barack Obama have in common?”

Liberal hypocrisy for dummies

By Tom Quiner | March 15, 2012

By Tom Quiner I hate to use the word “hypocrisy.” There is no shortage of it in politics on both sides of the aisle. When one points the finger at one side, the other ramps up the debate by pointing at the other side’s even more outrageous hypocritical indiscretions. Since this is a conservative blog, and since the Left has us outmanned in pointing out Conservative hypocrisy thanks to their…

The liberal paradox

This poster will surely leave you scratching your head trying to understand the mind of a liberal.

Here’s what Saddam Hussein said

By Tom Quiner | March 14, 2012

By Tom Quiner Remember the mantra of the Left: “Bush lied and people died.” Democrats jumped on the band wagon and said President George W. Bush concocted the whole story as an excuse to go to war against Iraq. Let us turn the clock back to 1991. President George H.W. Bush has declared an ultimatum for Saddam Hussein to pull his forces out of Kuwait or face military retaliation. What…

A little contraception humor

By Tom Quiner | March 14, 2012

Nothing points out the hypocrisy of the Obama Mandate better than a little humor …

The horror of hope

By Tom Quiner | March 13, 2012

Barack Obama promised hope and change. He is delivering on his promise. He has brought hope to the abortionist who will see his profits go up as ObamaCare is implemented. He has brought hope to Planned Parenthood who will also see hefty increases in its bottom line as the Obama Mandate is implemented and contraception, abortifacients, and sterilization are forced on employers everywhere for their employees. On the other hand, he has demoralized advocates of limited government, religious freedom, and fiscal sanity.

Does politically-correct curriculum foster cultural illiteracy?

By Tom Quiner | March 13, 2012

“Have you ever heard of Pope John Paul II?” This was the question I asked of a small gathering of college-aged students last week. I was giving a presentation on my musical, The Pope of the People, the John Paul II musical. None of the students had ever heard of JPII.

Why is Peyton Manning so good?

By Tom Quiner | March 12, 2012

I’m a Colts fanatic. From the Johnny Unitas Baltimore Colts to the Peyton Manning Indianapolis Colts, I’ve enjoyed the roller coaster ride of being a football fan of a great sports franchise. Why is Peyton Manning so good? Because he works within a system that rewards excellence. Can the same be said about our educational system?
